San Antonio has been my home since the summer of 1974. I like to call myself a “Texas citizen born abroad,” since I was born in North Dakota. My dad was in the Air Force, but is a native Texan. For the most part, I did grow up here. After high school, I worked for the Texas Department of Public Safety in various capacities for 30 years.
I met my husband Allen in 1983, and we married in 1988. We have 3 grown children, Everett, Zachary, and Katy. I have been a member here at OSL since 1987. My husband was confirmed as an adult in 1989. We were blessed with the privilege of sending our children to OSL school from pre-K through 8th grade. They all benefitted greatly from that experience.
My pastimes include reading, music, and a variety of crafts.
I have enjoyed being a member of the OSL family. There is truly a “family” feel here. There is always someone around to offer comfort or encouragement, and love and prayers are never in short supply. In the past I have been a Sunday school teacher and been involved with the choir, both as a member and as the director. I have been the secretary at OSL since June of 2015 and enjoy working here.
